HELP !!!!

From: rubaduc2001 (Rubaduc@juno.com) | Date: 2003-08-21 21:09:49 UTC
Can anyone (Jay maybe?) tell me how I went from being a Rubaduc to
being an anonymous user? I planted a box today and can't write it up,
I can no longer edit any of my existing boxes. Have I been really,
really bad (I didn't think you'd find out so quickly)and so banned
from this group?
And what do do now?

oh, Rubaduc,, I am also in the same boat as you. I just planted some
boxes and can not write them up, nor edit my other boxes. No matter how
I try, I can not sign in either in Wallingford nor Niantic. ??? What
ever will we do ?? :-(

good company :-)

Yes, I got banned a few weeks ago as well. I wrote to the
webmasters and got it reversed. Unfortunately, the Klez virus is
going around this talk list. Klez pulls a random email address out
of the infected user's contact list and sends out spam email with
the chosen address as the return, so spam emails appear to be coming
from you that are not actually sent by you. Perhaps this is what
happened to you as well. In my case, a message entitled "Japenese
lasses sexy pics" got sent to the talk list with my return address,
which got me promptly banned from the list. I posted a message to
the talk list back at the end of July (#30832) imploring people to
scan their machines and providing a link to a free online scanner.
If infected, people can go to the Norton anti-virus web site to
download free cleaning tools that eliminate Klez, and there's also a
tool there now for the latest SoBig worm. Please people, scan and
clean your computers!!!

Jelybean ... you got banned from THIS list. (Sorry 'bout that)
Butterfly and Rubaduc seem to be having trouble with the main
letterboxing website (posting and editing their clues) .. if I'm
reading correctly.

One has nothing to do with the other.

I'd contact Wes Garrison ... he's the web guru - he can fix you up---
Cheers,
Autumn

OK, seperate topics, my bad. The virus is still out there though,
still getting the junk email returned. I stand by my entreaty to
please scan your machines!

Yes, you have been very, very bad....kidding! On the old LbNA site
there was a person or two who were "shunned," but the new website is
open to all who would care to use it. Could you and Nancy please let
me know what trouble you're having with signing in? I checked both
your accounts and they seem just fine. Quite an impressive list
of 'boxes on both, by the way.

I couldn't get into the Member's section of the LbNA site to do anything, so I signed up again. Now I have 2 memberships but the first wouldn't work, and I write down my passwords and user names so I can't figure out why not. I took the easy way out. I'm like that. :-)

HI Mary-- But, now how do you edit your boxes with your 'old' membership
name?? I finially got on , and the message said that some member
already has my name and password. , Of course they do, it is ME. So

I just wanted to let you know that I couldn't get in on my name password. It was a "me, too" post, and not just for you, but so anyone trying to get in and having problems would know they weren't alone. I didn't actually *accomplish* anything by logging in under a new name and password. I had thought about maybe posting clues for a new box...

Then I think I made myself go to bed before I confused myself further. It was extremely late, or rather early in the morning.
:-)
